New FCRA Forms Take Effect January 1, 2013
Friendly reminder! The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which took over enforcement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) in July 2011, requires that employers and CRAs start using a new set of forms by January 1, 2013.
The updated forms include:
- Summary of Rights Under the FCRA
- Notice to Furnishers of Information: Obligations of Furnishers Under the FCRA
- Notice to Users of Consumer Reports: Obligations of Users Under the FCRA
(Click the links above to download PDF versions of these forms.)
Each form was revised to replace references to the Federal Trade Commission with the CFPB.
