With an employment reference verification we contact your applicant’s employment reference sources and verify information such as the nature of the position held, attendance record, reason for leaving, or other related information.
Best Practices of a Pre Employment Reference Check:
When employment reference verification involves asking questions that go beyond factual items of dates, position, salary, etc., the background report is considered an Investigative Consumer Report, governed by FCRA § 606. With this designation come additional responsibilities that you must meet. Your provider should help you understand these requirements and assist in your compliance with FCRA regulations.
